Problem Installing LimitLogin 1.0I am trying to install the above Micirosft product, everything goes fine until trying to install the AD component on the file server. When I do that, the first item, Prepare your AD Forest for LimitLogin runs just fine. The second item, Prepare your AD Domain for LimitLogin is what fails. When I try that part, I enter the Scripts Share Folder, which is believe is \\Server\LimitLogin$ (this is a share I set up on our server) and for the IIS Server Name, I put the name of our server (which is where IIS is running.) The web service name box is filled in already. When I try to proceed, I get the following error: The remote server returned an error: (401) Unauthorized. The program then gracefully exits. The server I am running the AD Setup software on is the same server that IIS is installed on and is the DC for our W2K3 network. Any thoughts/ideas? Thank you, Dennis -- Dennis Klaustermeyer Computer Technician United Local School District Dennis,
Have you gone into IIS Manager and checked the authentication properties of the site? Right click on the name of the site, choose Properties, and there's something about a Directory, and then you edit Authentication/Access so that at least one authentication method is checked. I'm [obviously] not near the server right now and I can't remember the process step-by-step, but that could very well solve your problem. Let me know. -- Alba ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Posted via http://www.mcse.ms ------------------------------------------------------------------------ View this thread: http://www.mcse.ms/message1750678.html
