Environment:

1 Domain Controller/Print/File Server
1 Additional File Server
1 SQL Server
1 Web Server
1 Server Unknown Use

= 5 Servers + 15 Users

How many CALs (per server) will i need if they are all running Windows 2003
Server?

Thanks In Advance

You need 15 Windows 2003 device CALs. One 2003 device CAL lets that licensed computer talk to any number of 2003/2000/NT servers in
your organization. You also need SQL Server device CALs for the workstations that are accessing that.

I assume "15 users" means 15 machines. If you are in the rare environment with many more computers than users, then you can get
"user CALs" instead of device CALs - the costing is the same, but you have to be consistent with CALs of a given type.
