I am trying to fix in the registry but its the same.

The master browser has received a server announcement from the computer PC1
that believes that it is the master browser for the domain on transport
NwlnkNb. The master browser is stopping or an election is being forced.

best regards,
HSG

Disable Netbios over Tcp/ip into network settings on clients 2000 and Xp Pro

Or disable with GPO the ability for clients to be elected as Master Browser,
just leave it on servers. Disabling NBT is always a good choice anyway.

If I wanted to do it through GPO, can you tell where to drill down to?

You simply have to set to manual the "Computer Browser" service on all the
machines that you don't want to partecipate to the master browser election,
so with GPO it would be:

Computer Configuration\Windows Settings\System Services\Computer Browser
(i did it by memory but it should be there)

Of course, you can accomplish this via script and logon script as well.
