Windows 2000 error 2021

We are getting Event source: Srv and Event Id: 2021. This occurs about every
1 or 2 minutes. The description of the error is "The server was unable to
allocate a work item 2 times in the last 60 seconds" We had put on the
windows media player patch and the errors started about 1 hour later. We have
removed the patch, rebooted and still the problem occurs. We have updated the
NIC drivers and run hardware tests on the NIC. The file server is corrupting
data.

I understand that the file server experiences the event ID 2021 every 1 or
2 minutes. If I have misunderstood your concerns, please feel free to let
me know.
