After the Service Pack1, my windows Time service stopped working. When I use
Admin account, The time service does not accept it though I added Admin in
Change time policy under User Rights management policy.

If I use the Local service, it prompts me for password.

What is Local Service Password

Thanks for any help.

Thank you so much Jerold.

I added the Local Service in GSP --> User Rights management.

Then, in Services, when I add the NT Authority/Local Service Account, it
prompts for the password.

What I wanted is that PASSWORD. This link does not help me as I have done
this already.

Once again thanks.

Hi Jerold,

I have done the procedure that was explained in the website. After I have
done that, the Windows Time Service has started. But, after reboot, error was
reported as "ACCESS DENIED".

It certainly needs password.
