windows server doamin same as web domainHi,
We've setup a new website for a customer, but their previous website was hosted on their own windows server. what's happening now is that anyone trying to get to the new website by typing in http://www.websitename.com in IE from a domain client within their organisation just gets the page cannot be found error. But it works fine from any connected pc outside their organisation, ie my home pc for example. I think what's happening is that anything typed in the address bar with their 'organisations name.com ' isn't getting to the outside world, but is getting filtered in some way by the domain server, which has the same .com name. Anybody have any ideas or pointers as to where to look to resolve this issue, without performing major heart surgery on their server? -- pcguru ------------------------------------------------------------------------ pcguru's Profile: http://forums.techarena.in/members/101820.htm View this thread: http://forums.techarena.in/windows-server-help/1187995.htmhttp://forums.techarena.in pcguru <pcguru.3swmfb@DoNotSpam.com> wrote:

Thanks for the tip, I figure I have to do that in iis somewhere, sorry
to be a pain, but were not experts in this, can you give me some
directions, never really played with iis before.
