Upgrade Windows Server 2003 Standard to Windows Server 2003 EntI need to upgrade a server with Windows Server 2003 standard to Windows
Server 2003 Enterprise. I have searched extensively for the "how to" on this subject. Can anyone help? Thanks, -- sam goucher A format and reinstall using the proper CD is required.
AFAIK there is no "upgrade" between any two versions of Win 2k, unlike XP where you can upgrade the home version to the professional version. hth DDS W 2k MVP MCSE Show quoteHide quote "samgoucher" <samgouc***@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:8563C674-7AA9-48FF-ABEE-0B2ECF3EBABB@microsoft.com... >I need to upgrade a server with Windows Server 2003 standard to Windows > Server 2003 Enterprise. Advanced was not. The only other 2K3 SKU you can upgrade is SBS to Standard. 4/8/2005 1:09:49 PM Danny Sanders <Danny.Sanders@NO-SPAMcpcmed.org> wrote in message <#3qkObGPFHA.1***@TK2MSFTNGP12.phx.gbl> Show quoteHide quote > A format and reinstall using the proper CD is required. > > AFAIK there is no "upgrade" between any two versions of Win 2k, unlike XP > where you can upgrade the home version to the professional version. > > > hth > DDS W 2k MVP MCSE > > "samgoucher" <samgouc***@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message > news:8563C674-7AA9-48FF-ABEE-0B2ECF3EBABB@microsoft.com... > >I need to upgrade a server with Windows Server 2003 standard to Windows > > Server 2003 Enterprise. Normally insert the CD at the Desktop and follow the prompts to upgrade from Standard to Enterprise. Standard to Enterprise is a supported upgrade path: http://support.microsoft.com/?id=810613 -- Show quoteHide quoteJupiter Jones [MVP] http://www3.telus.net/dandemar In memory of our dear friend, MVP Alex Nichol http://www.dts-l.org "samgoucher" <samgouc***@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:8563C674-7AA9-48FF-ABEE-0B2ECF3EBABB@microsoft.com... >I need to upgrade a server with Windows Server 2003 standard to Windows > Server 2003 Enterprise.
