Creating SIF file for a RIS imageHow do i associate a sif file created with setup manager with a RIS image
that I've created earlier. So I install a winxp workstation and all necessary software. I connect to the RIS server share and transfer the image. Now i start the Setup Manager in order to created the unattended file. I select the RIS unattended file option and choose all the options. After I'm done and the sif file is created How do I associate the sif file with the modified Winxp image that I've created before. thank you Hello asdf,
Just take out the old one from the installation folder, copy the new file to your installation folder and test it. Should be in one of them: \server_name\share_name\RemoteInstall\setup\templates \server_name\share_name\RemoteInstall\Setup\English\Images\Windows-Server-2003-SP1\i386\templates.
