NT 4.0 and 2003 TrustI have an NT 4.0 domain and a 2003 domain with a two way external
non-transitive trust. The trust is working fine in that I can access recourse both ways and set up permissions on both domains. The problem I am having is with Remote Desktop. I have users on the NT 4.0 domain that need to remote into a 2003 server on the 2003 domain, but when they try to log in they are getting an error stating that the NT 4.0 is not available. Users from the 2003 domain can access the 2003 server on the NT 4.0 domain without issue using their 2003 credentials. I am at a loss as to what is missing. Depending on how many users we are talking about, I'd test with VNC or test
with Remote Desktop Web Client. Show quoteHide quote "JRice" wrote: > I have an NT 4.0 domain and a 2003 domain with a two way external > non-transitive trust. I am trying to setup trust between my NT and 2003 domains, but failed with NT domain saying "cannot find the domain controller for this domain". I modified 'LMHOST" file from both domain controllers, did not help though. My 2003 domain name has 16 charaters long, so I used NETBIOs name instead. Can you help?? Thanks, Rick Show quoteHide quote "JRice" wrote: > I have an NT 4.0 domain and a 2003 domain with a two way external > non-transitive trust.
