Can't load profile - file name too longHi,
When I log in, I get a message that my raoming profile canot be loaded and a temporary profile would be created. Windows creates a "TEMP" user. The reason given is that Windows cannot copy a file from "//server_name\profiles\user_name\some_folder\file_with_very_long_name" to "c:\documents and settings\user_name\some_folder\file_with_very_long_name". In the local PC, I deleted the file in question and re-booted. I though the profile would get updated. It didn't. On the server, when I go to profiles\user_name\some_folder, I can see the file with very long name but cannot rename or delete it. It says to check the path and file name. I re-booted the server, booted in safe mode but still can't delete it. I ran chkdsk /f, no change. I would really appreciate it if someone can suggest some course of action.
