2003, a workgroup and AV protection??Ok, not sure if this is a MS issue or an Symantec issue, but when I try to do
a client install from the Symantec 10.0 server console I get the following error message when I enter the admin credentials when trying to push out the AV client. No network provider accepted the given network path. I can see the clients, but when I enter the admin ID and password I get that message. If I do a client search from this console it doesnt see the workstations (XP). Im not sure if its a MS issue on Symantec issue. File and print sharing is on and the firewalls are disabled. Any suggestions?? > Ok, not sure if this is a MS issue or an Symantec issue, but when I file and printer sharing could be necessary> try to do a client install from the Symantec 10.0 server console I > get the following error message when I enter the admin credentials > when trying to push out the AV client. > No network provider accepted the given network path. > I can see the clients, but when I enter the admin ID and password I > get that message. Any suggestions?? I see the same thing happening with the McAfee EPO push install if you enable file and printer sharing all sort of things will go smoother anyway lots of remote client software is depending on this grtz I do have file and print sharing on (both on the server and the
workstations). There is 1 server running 2003 and 3 XP workstation all on a workgroup. Any other suggestions? If I do a search for computers by name and/or IP address they dont come up.
