Printer Question - Windows 2003 two print queue one IP AddressI have an really interesting question here. We have Windows 2003 SP1
Server with two printer queues created that SHARE the same IP Address. It is actually one physical printer. We need to do this because one print queue is just for black/white print jobs and the other queue is for color print jobs. The question is the following: If two jobs get submitted at the same time through both printer queues, would this by any chance cause the print spooler on the server to crash since it is going to the same ip address. Well, it 'shouldn't' - Windows has supported multiple 'printers' per print
device since NT. You might want to give the printers different priorties - Printer Properties - Advanced tab: http://www.microsoft.com/windows2000/en/advanced/help/default.asp?url=/windo ws2000/en/advanced/help/sag_PRINTconcepts_04D.htm Doug Sherman MCSE, MCSAA, MCP+I, MVP Show quoteHide quote <Sabo>; "Eric" <sab***@cup.edu> wrote in message news:46282A9B-A646-4B2F-B821-92A3AA3BAA01@microsoft.com... > I have an really interesting question here.
