In my Windows 2003 domain, from XP and from my servers, when I ping an IP
address on my network, why does it not repsond with the name of the server AND the IP? It is only responding with the IP address. (2003 SP1 and XP SP2 machines)Thanks. I dont believe the ping appliction performs reverse-dns lookups; so it
shouldnt be returning the hostname if you ping by IP. Erik -- Show quoteHide quoteMCSE/MCSA: Messaging This post is provided "AS IS" and without warranty, expressed or implied.
