Hello netmember,
Please choose an Exchange NG for this question, this is not belonging to networking: microsoft.public.exchange.connectivity microsoft.public.exchange.design microsoft.public.exchange.misc microsoft.public.exchange.setup microsoft.public.exchange.tools microsoft.public.exchange.admin just some of them. Looking at the "signature" to your post I suspect that you are posting via an on-line forum are may be aren't aware that your post is going to a newsgroup. I suggest you fire up a newsgroup reader (windows mail does fine, although there are plenty of others) and visit each of the newsgroups that Meinolf suggested. In answer to your question, do both sites share the same email domain (so both are whate***@example.com) or do they have different email domains (eg whate***@a.example.com and a**@b.example.com?). Since one site is using pop3 I suspect that you are sharing the same email domain, in which case this is outside of my experience so I can't advise. However, if they have different email domains then the scenario becomes very simple as each can be managed in isolation as an independent exchange server. You could even go one step beyond and set each to act as a backup email server for the other (http://www.cryer.co.uk/brian/msexchange/exch_as_a_backup_email_server.htm). Unless you have a pressing need for it, I would manage the two sites separatly with separate email domains (but I understand that this would mean staff at one site having new email addresses so human factors may make this undesirable).
