How can I resolve macintosh platform computer name?  Just know that some IPs
are manually used by Macintosh computer. So need a way to find out those IPs
that are related to Mac compuer or verify it is Mac computer..

Thanks.

I can't see how that would have anything to do with Microsoft products for
the Mac. Seems like that's info that would have to come from Apple.

On the same subnet, a broadcast between machines resolves names. If you
don't have a DNS server on your network then you can ping a Mac using
"ping MacName.local".

In a larger network with multiple subnets, you'll need to use DNS or
preferably DDNS. Windows Server DNS can allow DHCP to register
non-Windows clients such as Macs but it must be enabled. This may be
considered a security risk. Or if your DNS is handled by an appliance
then it may have a DDNS feature that needs to be enabled.

Hope this helps!
