We have two DC in one Site. The one Domai Controller who hold all fsmo is
functioning ver fine. The second DC which was holding the Global Catalog
crashes dueto HD failure.
Now I took another HD and installed Windows 2003 Server and dcpromo as a
member of existing Active Directory. Because I was not able to demote, the
NTDS-setting is still the name of the other Server.
Now the two Server are not able to replicate to one another.
NTDS-KCC error.

Is it Possible to repair?
Any Help?

Thank you in advance

You can use NTDSUTIL to do a Metadata cleanup.

Thank you for your answer,
I did this, and I will see tommorow, if it worked out!
I used ntdsutil for the first time and I was not sure, if I did it properly.
Do you Know a ntdsutil variable combinations, which brings me to the goal?

Thank you,
