Offline folders - Access denied Error occurs when syncing My Docum

Hi,  Got a laptop user who gets "Offline files [\\server-01\users on
server-01] Access to 'Filename' is denied on \\server-01\filepath" errors
when syncing files that he's modified or looked at whilst off-line.

Not a problem if he modifies them on-line and other laptop users do not
suffer from this error.

I've checked NTFS, Share and Ownership settings as per the MS White Paper
"User Data and Settings Management" and all seem fine.

Any ideas????

Cheers

John,
You get this if different people use/have used the laptop, so the
synchronization (which is per machine, not per user) at logoff fails for the
non-logged in users.
You can reinitialize the offline cache to start again,
Hope that helps,

Hi Anthony,

Thanks for your message.  Yes, I've seen this particular issue come up but
it's not applicable in this case.  There's only one user (apart from I log
in) and the access denied errors are coming up on the files that he's changed
and should be located in his own area.

I have tried clearing the cache and re-syncing.  This works fine until he's
next working away from the network and then when he reconnects the same
problem re-occurs.

I tried loging in as him on my desktop. I synced, disconnected from the
network, changed & created a few files then connected and synced.  This
worked fine.

THerefore it's gota be somethign to do with his laptop and/or his account on
the laptop.

I've checked and the laptop is a member of the domain and it's account is in
the same location as all the other PCs/laptops in AD.

Any ideas?

Cheers
John
