Hi,

I recently installed on W2k3 server HP Storageworks DAT 72 USB device
I used HP Storageworks Data Protector Express to manage backup jobs.
Backup is working well, but my principals want to get mail
notification about backup job. Only problem is that backup log is 95MB
of size in html format. Does anyone know how to shink it to reasonable
size for mailing?

I am not familiar with HP Storageworks Data Protector Express but
I am suspicious about its log file being 95 MBytes in size. Are you
sure you're not looking at the backup file itself? Or is the log file the
accumulation of many months of logging?

Nope, this is fresh implemented backup device
You have options... log all, log only completed, log only failed and
none
I'll try to log only failed
I also look into technical refference guide of software and found only
to try to log only failed.
Well see next morning what report will be generated
