restore iSCSI volume at startup ?

I'm new to using iSCSI SANs and I'm having a bit of trouble getting a volume
to reconnect when the server boots up.

Using MS iSCSI initiator

I've got the "Target" set up OK with a CHAP logon and it's set to
"automatically restore this connection when the system boots" and the target
shows as "Connected" after a re-boot

The target is in the list of persistent targets

F:\ is in the list of "Bound Volumes/Devices"

After a re-boot I have to go into Computer Management / Disk Management
where "Disk 1" has a red circle next to it and shows as "Offline", I have to
manually select "Reactivate Disk" to get it back online

How do I get the volume to come online automatically after a re-boot?

Many thanks

Sorted it out now, I was using Dynamic volumes. Changed to Basic and
everything's working fine

Is there a way to have a Dynamic volume reconnect at boot.

I have two basic iScsi disks and one dynamic.  The dynamic disk started as a
LUN that was 19 gig, I extended the iScsi LUN to 38 Gig, so on my NAS It
shows one Lun of 38 Gig, but on my Windows Server it shows my Dynamic Disk at
38 Gig but with two simple volumes at 19 gig each.

It does not look like I can convert this to a basic disk.  Is there a way to
get the disk to automatically reconnect on bootup?

I am experiencing the same problem. I have set up shares on my server that
are mounted via the iSCSI initiator. When I reboot, the drives do not
autmatically remount. The show up as offline in the disk manager and I have
to reactivate them.

I hear there is a way to set up the order of the services on boot up to load
iSCSI earlier in the list but I have not found "easy" docs to follow to do
this.

In addition - the MS iSCSI initiator does not support Dynamic volumes. So
pick a big size and stick with it because you can't dynamically expand a
volume while using this initiator. Well... you can but then it will not
reload on reboot even if you foloow all the other info in this thread.
