MS Office documents open as read-only!I explain my problem step by step: 1. On running IIS there is a virtual directory with a file test.doc. 2. I open my MS Word 2003 and then open OpenDialog. In that dialog I write path http://server/virtualdirectory/test.doc. 3. The file opens as READ-ONLY. Notes: 1. File test.doc NTFS security is OK. 2. Virtual directory security OK (annonymous connection disabled) 3. WebDav publishing on web site enabled 4. The IIS runs on 32bit mode though the server OS is 64bits. <<< I suspect this as a source of problem!!! Questions: 1. What is the reason of this error? 2. What inner processes stand in this office document opening through http? 3. Could x64 OS really cause this read-only error? This problem is related affects the usage of our system so its really important to find the solution. Thank you in advance. Vycka http is a readonly protocol ....

Thats why it uses WebDav for opening Office documents.
On other machines (with 32bits) everything works fine. I mean documents open not as read-onnly.
