Next Version of Windows ServerDoes anyone know when the next verion of Windows server is schedled to be
released? I'm more concerned about when mainstream support for Windows Server 2003 R2 will end, but they say that is 2 years after the release of the next version! Speaking of Windows 2003 R2, since it was released on 3/5/2006, does that mean that the old Windows server 2003 will end on 3/5/2008? Joe Hello Joseph,
The new Version LONGHORN should come in 2007. Thats the statement from MS. Best regards myweb Disclaimer: This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights. 2007 is still 12 month and a name is changed very quick if necessary. Best regards myweb Disclaimer: This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights. I mean the whole time from 2007 not the time when it will be theire. Best regards myweb Disclaimer: This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights. Show quoteHide quote > 2007 is one month away! Not 12 months <g> > Mainstream just means they are no longer making changes to the product
(because all the new changes are going into the new product). Security updates ect. continue for 5 more years after mainstream support ends. So even if Longhorn released in January, you've still got 7 years! If you're company's 7 years behind - get a new job! :-) Show quoteHide quote "Joseph M.
